Staff Profile: Ken Harvey

Ken Harvey, Los Angeles native, attended the University of Nebraska where Harvey played baseball from 1996-1999 as a 1st Baseman. He was an all American, and a finalist for the Golden Spike Award during his time as a Husker. Harvey was no stranger to success at the plate; He led the nation with a .478 average, 23 home runs, and 87 RBIs.

In 1999, the Kansas City Royals drafted Harvey in the fifth round. Later in 2004, he was a Major League All-Star. After his player career, his passion for the game continued where he accumulated over 16 years of coaching experience. His knowledge of the game, and specifically his hitting instruction, has helped countless players go to the next level, whether it be professional or at the collegiate level.
